```yaml title: Less is More make_discoverable: true tags: work, meditation ``` # Less is More One of the boys at work are gone for the weekend while he celebrates his wedding anniversary. Typically on the weekend we are all there, because that is when it is the busiest. The boys always seem to have plenty of work to do, and they always stay busy throughout the day. Sometimes, when it is really busy they seem really run things up to the last minute, leaving just barely enough time to clean up before heading out the door at 15:00. However, since Adam has been out of town this weekend, the boys have been done a couple of hours earlier than normal. This reminds me of back in the kitchen days when I would watch Hell's Kitchen obsessively—the season would start out with two teams of ten and they couldn't get through a dinner service to save their life. It was not until the weak links got eliminated, did those teams start being able to push through service. It really does feel like that right now at work, that the weak link has been eliminated and now those that remain can get the work done the way they know how. Nothing holding them down, no weak links holding them back. We all have weak links in our lives, and it is important that we identify them and remove them from our lives. They weigh us down and prevent us from arriving at our destination.
