##### Published: Thursday, December 1st 2005 ***A few words about this "website"*** Few things have remained constant in my life, and this journal is one of those things. The entire emotional spectrum has been expressed here in some form or fashion since its inception. This is here more for me than it is for anybody else. You might wonder why in the hell even bother putting up such a thing on the internet in the first place? It is the fact that this journal has been online that has allowed it to survive all the turmoil that is life. I've always been happy to Cntrl + A, Backspace most of anything I've done on the internet over the years, but for one reason or another this journal has somehow remained safe from all those heavy hammers. I feel it somewhat necessary to put it out there that there are some very dark words behind the permalinks of these posts. My mind has been eager to search for something, and I'm very will still on that search but that is to say that I've been guilty of navigating through some of the darkest destinations of the human condition and sometimes I expressed those observations here in a very sort-of authoritative manner. While this *journal* did indeed start on LiveJournal back in the day, what we shall now call the Pre-Facebook days, the original idea of "posting for others" behind a mask of something else. Not exactly sure when I stopped playing around with LiveJournal in it's entirety but it was shortly after that I found refuge in WordPress and remained there happily ever since.
