i totally forgot to mention, but as it was sitting in my inbox it now comes to attention.
yesterday in the mail i got a very sincere letter with an enclosed dvd-r disc. it was from one **Arek Miaskowski**, a member of Community Activists Standing Together (CAST). he had seen the images on [flickr](http://flickr.com/photos/mesh/) i had taken, while with krystal of [juneau high school](http://flickr.com/photos/mesh/sets/72157594155863381/) right before its closing earlier this year. he wanted to use them in a documentary that was about recent high school closings within the milwaukee area, interviewing students and other social figures.
haven't watched it yet, but i just wanted to say that [creative commons](http://www.creativecommons.org/) works. my images [are licensed](http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.0/) basically to allow people like Arek to do what he did with them and everyone is happy. he's just gotta give me props when he does. but i didn't expect him to send me a copy of his documentary (well he and his group of people).
it kinda made me feel like some people do care. that will surely wear off when the grime of day hits me. it was appreciated tho!
