Last night I started to play [Final Fantasy XII](http://www.finalfantasyxii.com/), leveled up a bit; not as much as I would have liked. All my characters are now at Level 25; with the exception of Vaan who his Level 26. The fourth time I into King Raithwal's Tomb, I hope to make (both) Demon Wall's my bitch. However I got side-tracked while playing. Goofing around with [Google Calendar](http://www.google.com/calendar), and [Google Browser Sync](http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/browsersync/). I've got harmony now between [iCal](http://www.apple.com/ical/) and Google Calendars, and even more harmony for the installations of [Firefox](http://www.getfirefox.com/) on my [PC](http://www.flickr.com/photos/mesh/6113878/) and Firefox on my [Mac](http://www.flickr.com/photos/mesh/58242490/). Pure dirty sex without any regret! I spent days installing and configuring [Joomla](http://), on what I dubbed the [Frontdoor](http://frontdoor.vanillatree.org/); but I just might dump all that right into the garbage. Turns out I like [CMS's](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Content_management_system) yes, but I don't really have a huge purpose for a bully-featured platform like Joomla. Plus the regrets of finding that [the bridges](http://www.simplemachines.org/download/?bridges) that will connect it with [SMF](http://www.simplemachines.org/) will all stop once 1.5x comes out (for Joomla). That's atop finding out that the official bridge sucked anyway. So I installed this thing called [TinyPortal](http://www.tinyportal.net/) as a mod on the [Downtown](http://downtown.vanillatree.org/) area. Now the once sole "forums" of the Downtowan area of Vanilla Tree is now a hybrid CMS, putting all sorts of bells and whistles on top of the once sole purpose Downtown area. Now with this in place (and considering it works out for me and the community) I will dump the Frontdoor of Vanilla Tree, and probably also the minute [Shout](http://shout.vanillatree.org/). I never did figure out how to get Shout integreated into [VTF](http://field.vanillatree.org/), [VTQ](http://childfree.vanillatree.org/), or the now ever-fading [VTC](http://community.vanillatree.org/). It was a shame with that [Vanilla platform](http://lussumo.com/), it was a great little [AJAXy](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AJAX) web application, too bad it just did hit and pull me in like SMF did. I will keep an eye on them. So thanks to those who have joined the downtown area. I know it doesn't look like much right now, espeically being that there is only [one "general" category](http://downtown.vanillatree.org/index.php?board=1.0). But I figured it would be better to make categories as they were deemed neccessary compared to having a predetermined outline of (empty) topics. So blah blah blah, Brian never stopped over after work he must not love me anymore! No his Mother was coming back from Florida and he had to deal with the 'clients'. Good luck to him on that.
