I have to ask... What do you do with all this water?"_ she sees me about every week and a half, getting a **lot** of water. so i told her about Lenin. her friend in Germany has a tortoise too, she couldn't recall if it was a Russian. I told her the whole Russian naming idea, and how its nothing to do with Russia. it was a short conversation, but long considering its context. she asked where he came from, and was a little set-back when i told her how much he costed that much for a tortoise smaller than your hand? i told her about wild caught russians and how they could be up to 60 years old already. it was a strange, but happy conversation. out of the ordinary. maybe i should charge people to see lenin? setup a "the amazing russian tortoise: LENIN" stand at State Fair and charge people to walk around his enclosure! kidding: but i do love my tortoise like nobody else. his spurt of inactivity is seemingly over. it **had to be** the humidity. he's more active now than he was when i first got him. also i've received word from fellow boxers; seems people are pulling in their boxes with this rain. maybe i'll check on them tomorrow?
