when i was getting shit done this morning, i first was all proud of myself of how to get around west allis without [absolved](http://absolved.livejournal.com/) literally telling me where to make turns, but then disappointed that my "non main road navigation" lead me to what seemed like a construction zone. but it wasn't downtown west allis was hosting a 'classic car show' and they had greenfield shut down from 76th to wherever "downtown" ends. i love the downtown area of west allis, very similar to downtown waukesha, without the brick roads. so i parked somewhere on 73rd, residential area and walked to where i needed to go. despite all the commotion, it sure was wonderful to see the people of my new town getting down. i love west allis.
