My wife came with me to work last night to see what its like to work third shift. It was Gary, Sally & Rich working. Kind of wasn't what I wanted it to be due to the fact that Rich was working with me I could only do things that _Richway_ instead of my own. It would have been nice to show my Wife how I get down when I'm working alone. She could have actually seen real working! Instead she got the treatment anyone else would who would be put on the schedule with him. Perpetual discussion of video games. But nonetheless she got to see a glimpse of what its like to be Mesh at work. I guess it all stabilises with the fact that Krystal got to try my signature sandwich.
We stopped at the store on the way home to get a few things. We got some ornament hooks so the rest of the ornaments could be hung, we got some De-Icer windshield washer, a new ice scraper, a few other things. We also decided to start a ["Christmas Village"](http://www.designingonline.com/dreamsalive/christmas2001/columns/greenhaven/christmas_village.jpg) collection of our very own. We got a Victorian Cottage and have plans to expand this empire of delicately litten building by one building each year. We start our collection with this fine piece and maybe after the holidays simmer down we can head over to Kohl's and pick up another one on clearance so we have two for next year!
Aside from that the Christmas tree is up and in full effect. I also strung up another 100 light up over our other living room window, over my desk and finally ending at our front closet. Our shit looks pretty good, for it being our first Christmas together. We could use a few more decorations for setting around the nest, but I have to say we have a hell of an impressive layout for just starting out. **My nutcrackers are out!** Perhaps I'll have to take some more pictures and put them on Flickr and put something of a snazzy link here.
Nevertheless its a day off (for the both of us). Nothing like a Monday off, no? There are a few Christmas gifts to yet be purchased, and I have _absolutely nothing_ for my wife yet. Despite Christmas being toned down to a minimal financial burden as requested by almost _everyone_ in my family, there is still so much to do. Or so it seems. I just hope it all works out, because I'm really in the spirit this year and I don't want anyone to feel left out.
