![](images/Homefront-300x.jpg "Homefront in Best Buy ad")[Clark Howard](http://www.clarkhoward.com/) was going on about the five things never to buy new last week.  Video games was one of these items.  It hit me like a ton of bricks the amount of money that I have spent on the Xbox 360 over the years already.  All those games, all those accessories at full-market price - incredible. The last game I was seriously into (I went to the midnight release) was **[Fallout: New Vegas](http://fallout.bethsoft.com/)**.  Since Vegas, gaming for the most part has fallen along the way.  I haven't played anything in months.  But I remember seeing this guy with a bandanna over his eyes with a star on the dashboard while I was booting up the Xbox to play Vegas.  That seemed like so long ago, but as it turns out this was all the big advertising campaign for a game called **[Homefront](http://www.homefront-game.com/)**. Then once while eating dinner I was cruising thru YouTube and happened to come across a trailer for Homefront that deeply caught my attention.  [Check it out](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTdXJVbIvy0)! So this brings on a project, perhaps the first of many that we shall perform on OpenPluto.  This game that had a heavy advertising push for months came out this past Tuesday.  We are going to track the quickest way to get this game at half-price.  If your much of a gamer at all then you are familiar with the Walmart-esque presence of [Gamestop](http://www.gamestop.com/) in your life.  They are everywhere! Talk to any gamer you know and they will all agree how this large-chain store operates in a slightly shady manner.  You can take a new game the day its released, buy it off the shelf, remove the packaging and take it straight to Gamestop and maybe (if your lucky) you might get half-price for it.  Come back in a few hours and see that same game on the shelf for only five-dollars less than you originally paid for it full price. It is because of this simple idea of their doing business that we ought to consider all options in getting Homefront for half-price.  We will use Gamestops local inventory on their website, Craigslist and other forms to try and find this game. Keep it locked on OpenPluto for updates on this project that we will call "[Homefront for Half-price](http://openpluto.com/tag/homefront-for-half-price/)".  Now because we have no true interest in actually owning this game, we shall keep both of the 'major gaming' consoles open for this project as well.  We will keep our eyes peeled for both a halfrpice copy on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. You can click [this link](http://openpluto.com/tag/homefront-for-half-price/) to follow the specific posts that will be related to this very project.  If and when new things occur we will posts new updates in comparison to coming back here and updating this one. **_How long will it take?_**
