[![](images/Selection_015-300x240.jpg "Guayadeque")](http://openpluto.com/journal/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Selection_015.jpeg)Today while romping around the house trying to get things done, I'm experimenting with a new music player for Ubuntu called [Guayadeque](http://guayadeque.org/).  Not the easiest name to say or remember, but so far it proves to be a powerhouse of an application.  Read an official write-up for it on [OMG Ubuntu](http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2011/03/review-guayadeque-0-2-9-the-lightweight-music-app/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+d0od+%28Omg%21+Ubuntu%21%29&utm_content=Google+Reader). It is far too early to tell if this would become a full-fledged replacement for Clementine, but the website claims that its not only more stable than any application that came before it, but it also touts the claim to handle massive libraries.  Perhaps if this application holds true to some of its claims we will feature a more detailed write-up of our own in the future here at OpenPluto.  After all, it even has its own PPA!
