![](images/Handycam_DCR-SX45-300x177.jpg "Handycam_DCR-SX45")Confessions will made about a long-time friend and colleague of mine who goes by the moniker [Acrid Fusion](http://cosmicnova.com/).  I have been a secret admirer of one of his [passions](http://www.youtube.com/acridfusion) for quite a bit now and something over the weekend sent it over the top.  Perhaps it was something in [this particular video](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-DTahtuJ3c).  But **something** has always interested me about Acrid's nonchalant approach video on the web. Over the years Acrid has displayed creativity on a number of levels.  When we were later in our teenage years we used to get wild about taking two songs into an audio editor and making "Techno Remixes" of pretty much anything you can imagine.  (_Paul Revere Snowtripping Remix_)  And while those fun days of audio are long gone, Acrid's urge to be creative in his free-time has not slowed down with the the passing of years.  Although time may severe the marriage of friendship in our daily lives as youth, the sort of energy that kind of keeps our creative flow alive, Acrid kept right along with the progression of technology – following video as it grew to a cultural phenomenon on the web.  He's got a clique on YouTube that he loves as you and do our families.  Some may look at that as strange, but I find that quite honorable in todays "this is shit" and "fuck you" commenting we see everyday. At first I thought what Acrid was doing on YouTube was silly.  Thoughts like: _"Guys got to much time on his hands"_ and stuff like that.  Now perhaps it was my own blinded eyes that had me seeing things in an odd lighting or something, but one day I, on some video, at some minute and second I felt the true passion that exists within Acrid when he speaks and does His Thing.  This friend of mine genuinely speaks passionately whenever he gets on about about something.  And he's been going on for quite sometime now and looking back my only one true regret is taking this long to have noticed.
