![](images/Straight-Razor-90x90.png "Straight Razor") This might be the only honest review I have read about the shave brush that I got at Walgreens but is also available at Pick 'n Save, Walmart and Woodmans Food Markets.  I regard that any brick and mortar store in or around the Milwaukee area only seem to sell this same brand (Van Der Hagen) but I just couldn't wrap my head around the idea of spending anywhere between thirty and a hundred-and-thirty dollars on a brush only to find out wet shaving is a big failure to my personal approach to shaving. > "What I expected from this brush has a lot (actually everything) to do with how I am rating it. For a brush that one would expect to provide years and years of quality close shaves, this would be a no-star. However, if you have never used a brush and want to see how you like them, it is a fantastic bargain and worthy of a 10-star rating. That is the reason I bought it, just to see if I liked brushes and shaving soap, and now I am going to plunk down the big bucks for a high quality badger hair shave brush. As I say, previous brush usesrs wouldn't even look at this, but newbies to wetshaving should consider this as a gateway brush. Even though I recommend it, it is with the aforementioned caveat, and I would not recommend it to experinced brush users. However, if you perform no other changes to your shaving routine other than purchasing this brush and a cake of decent shaving soap, you will be astonioshed at how much better your shave will be. Note that this brush will shed prolifically during the initial use, but that ceases on subsequent latherings."   **Links:** [Van Der Hagen shave brush on Walgreens.com](http://www.walgreens.com/store/c/van-der-hagen-natural-shave-brush/ID=prod2080-product#BVRRWidgetID)
