![](images/Google-balls.png "Google balls")It has come to a point that there are so many [Google Doodles](http://www.google.com/doodles/finder/2012/All%20doodles) for every reason under the sun that I'm not even that drawn in to them as I once was.  Now it's almost an occasion to make it a few days with seeing the classic Google logo instead of one honoring someone's [230th birthday](http://www.google.com/doodles/friedrich-frobels-230th-birthday). Don't get me wrong the Doodles are cool and always have been, but I distinctly remember asking people if they say the Doodle for some recent holiday or instead linking them to Google.com on some special day so they could see it for themselves.  Like an anticipation of a young boy at Christmas, the same kind I still get for their April Fools day pranks, but those days have long past―I suppose there is whole Google department dedicated to the succession of the doodling. In my humble opinion they have lost their self-sufficient flare they once used to illuminate the Web.
