It's been four days before I updated here. Nothing terrible has been going on or anything like that, I guess I had neglected to post after my Pugfest post cos I'm a little ashamed of my performance at Pugfest. I didn't rile up Stalin enough to win the races. He was distracted, and tired from running demos all day for Zoom Room. We had a good time and I was happy to have a nice pile of cash to provide for the event.
Wife didn't look too happy when I told her to put the Pugfest t-shirts on debit, so I gave her the cash. I had kept all that money for Pugfest, so I might as well use it for Pugfest right? It sure was a quick way to burn through a $120 in a heart-beat, but it was all taken in such good times. The Wife got a very nice crate for travelling trails that she plans to do. Jackson has claimed it as his own. The guy at the booth held it for us, but later when we went to pick it up someone had gone ahead and taken ours outright, so we got another one of the same kind but the one that was on display. However the Wife mentioned, and was quite upset about how one of the parts of the inside were not working properly. She used some duct tape and fixed it all up but regardless she was not a happy camper.

Sunday night we made the most amazing burgers for dinner. We tried to replicated as best we could the Wisconsin Burger from Jake's. "deep fried" haystack onion rings, beer-cheese sauce, and some of the most amazing bacon. I'm not sure what it is called but here is a picture.

We ate outside, and my Wife looks gorgeous in a colorful dress. Makes her hair much more prevalent, and beautiful.

Also on Sunday the Wife and I bought MW3 even tho we really couldn't afford it. The Wife has been craving some COD since we got a proper connection to play multiplayer. She is doing a whole hell of a lot better than I am, twice my rank and whatnot.
Went to work Monday―won't even go into details about that cos it isn't worth the time. Worth mentioning however that Jake came in around 930ish and put in his two-week notice. I posted on his Facebook timeline and said:
> I couldn't be more happy for you Jake. I have said this to many and meant it to few but your honestly one of the most mature people I know. I know people well over ten years older that act half your age.
>
> Just as with [Alexandrea Breimon](https://www.facebook.com/alexandrea.breimon?directed_target_id=0) if you apply yourself in the same manner you have at the diner it won't be long before you're running laps around your colleagues.
>
> A huge loss for the restaurant loosing both you and Alex, but a huge win for the workforce having someone as dedicated as yourself as a part of their team.
>
> Three types of people work at the diner. Those who stick around forever (lifers), those who use it as a stepping stone to something greater, or as sort of an incubator for those waiting for that golden opportunity in a kitchen elsewhere. It was a pleasure and an honor to work at your side for the amount of time we did. Your parents clearly did a fantastic job raising you, and you have also done them proud.

> My hat goes off to you, Jake. Well done!
Tuesday came and I didn't do much during the day. Laundry, and organized the milk-crates in the back. Work went well. Vinnie is officially my boss, the kitchen manager. Austin started on fryers today and his brother started dishwashing. His brother is clearly a better dishwasher than Austin is. However Austin did better on the fryers than I thought he would. We were out of there at a decent time, and while that makes the paycheck not as big―that makes management happy. If by definition Vinnie does all the things that a kitchen manager is supposed to do, that is quite a responsibility! He had an offer at another place that wanted to offer him a whole different path on life, and his choosing to stay with us, and I think that is just great. I need someone like him as a kitchen manager someone who is willing to break it down to me when he knows I don't know something.
Drama in the LBC as Bradley has apparently taken up a job at Sussex Place and perhaps plans on leaving working at Tailgators. That would fuck my cousin royally. If things has worked out differently I could have just installed myself over there under him and Bradley could have Sussex Place and everything would be solved. Except I'm not down to drive to Sussex everyday that's for god-damn sure. That would be the most painful out of the whole three.
I've decided to work the following schedule at the diner on a weekly basis:
- Monday: 6-2
- Tuesday: NA
- Wednesday: 10-2
- Thursday: 10-2
- Friday: NA
- Saturday: NA
- Sunday: 6-2 (unless I have something going on)
I'm not sure how Dennis will take it, not sure if I give a fuck. I could help Mike out at Tailgators or something for cash if I need to if Dennis doesn't like it. I just have to have my entire focus on Jake's. That's is the most important. **Learn that whole system and more forward.**
