> _been many days since an update so we'll have to get this done with bullet-points._ **after catering service sunday 526** - catering is a whole different ball-game. even the order we thought we knew ahead of time was changed on the fly. suddenly i'm making thirty truffle burgers and regular cheeseburgers. out of nowhere.  the flow was nice and everything had seemed to run rather smoothly. there were a few guests who didn't want any color in their beef so i had to fire off four that way for them. no big deal, done. - after work i had sat around and chatted up with the wife about work, and all sorts of other work stuff. eventually making way to woodmans at near midnight to gather ingredients for dinner. did a little other shopping as well. dropped like 80+ dollars on stuff there. nothing unnecessary but still rather expensive. - came home and made the truffle burger for the wife and i. turns out the wife doesn't like truffle oil. like at all. bleh. no good on that―so I guess I wasted a little money on buying that bottle of white truffle oil. - go barely any sleep and went to work at the diner at six. **monday at the diner 527 (memorial day/stalin's birthday party)** - grandma jan seemed very happy to see me, saying she missed me almost immediately upon arriving. - monday the diner seemed to go alright but then all the sudden shortly after nate got there we started getting pounded hard.  for the first time in my entire time at that restaurant I threw down a massive fit at the height of the rush. i hollered out dennis' name and slammed a ticket down in front of him on the upper counter and again hollered out: "Fucking have her re-write this."  He got a flustered, told me customers don't need to hear me, no shit, and no cook should ever have to read that bullshit.  I'm pretty sure I said that to him as well.  By this point Terri had come up on the line and I put my hands up and said I need to walk away for a moment.  Smoked a cigarette and tried to clear my head.  However me not showing up to the diner on Sunday apparently sent Ziemer off on a tangent for nearly the entire time he was there Sunday going on about how I'm a piece of shit and yadda-yadda-yadda.  I decided after hearing this, it would be beneficial to both the restaurant and myself if i only work sunday and monday.  it will be too busy for Ziemer to try and start any shit with me during the breakfast rush on those days and i'll be going in at 6 so i doubt he'll be on my ass about much anyways.  i'm at the point where i have nothing to loose with that guy so i don't give a fuck what he thinks any longer.  sadly there was nobody to cover alex's old monday second post, so dennis called ziemer and told him to come in for second shift.  i tried so fucking hard to get out of there before he arrived but he did eventually show up before i was out of the building. i didn't have much of a gracious exit, ziemer and i sort of gave each other this sour look and i took my apron off and left. no goodbyes, no see ya laters.  i did send warm regards to terri and z before leaving. didn't hug them tho. - came back to the city stopping at ace hardware and getting some makeshift ring molds. 4", 3", 2" both of pvc and metal. the metal biscuit ones are very flimsy so i got the pvc ones too. - i stopped at joanns and picked her up and brought her back to the house. we all sort of sat around even tho it was stalin's birthday and chatted it up for a little bit. i felt like i was truly on a natural high, i even made a facebook post about it. went to outpost and gathered items together for a classic burger. whipped that up for us three and we enjoyed watching stalin tear up his birthday presents and eat his cake.  stalin's big fifth birthday. - nicole was possibly going to stop out but ended up just hanging back. i'm sure burgers didn't sound too appealing to her! **tuesday off BOTH jobs 528** - i didn't do too much of anything on tuesday. sort of walked around in a blur. - i fired up some lovely homemade pasta sauce with the leftover meat from the evening prior. the meat was already prepped for making it into a burger, but i used it with a simple google search recipe i had found called "Great Grandmas Pasta Sauce". Turned out pretty damn good, let that bitch cook low and slow for nearly two hours. suggested longer the better but i was fucking starving. medium shell noodles probably not the best choice to pair the sauce with but i'm trying to burn through our non-organic shit as quickly as possible. **and today...** - finally got the wife's costco swoop added to the pantry lists. did dishes and laundry, nothing too particular. nicole came to swoop the pvr stuff for this week.  i haven't watched hells kitchen yet. soon it will be off to work.
