The struggle between Duty and Love was a constant theme throughout the duration of the show, but having felt so strongly attached to Jon Snow for the duration of the series, not the big mass-appealing things that I feel the majority of people find, his attractiveness and acting. Yes it is his acting that helps but it was the way I watched him portray the internal struggle of processing information, from the very first episode to the absolute very last. The way he and I behave remind me all too much of that random fortune command I threw all those years ago  So when the final hammer really did come down he did choose Duty over Love and that to me after all these years of shedding tears (I cried during the intro last night) is affirmation that I am on the right path in my own life. I am the shield the protects the realm of men from having to participate in their duties so they can participate in love. Thank you Jon Snow.
