Thursday, December 26, 2019, 11:44. 52°F outside right now and we had another Christmas (the last of the decade) with weather in excess of fifty degrees. Recompiled the epic Lo-Fi playlist and renamed it Lo-Fi Genesis which is on shuffle right now. The Boss, Dylan really did me a solid giving me off both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but we all paid for it because Jim decided that it was absolutely now that his medical procedure for his foot needs to happen now and immediately following his shift on the Eve of Christmas he's off of work now until the 6th of January. He did the exact same thing last year, and I forgot what his medical procedure was for at _that time_ but he enjoys spending the moments leading up to the new year under the roof of his cabin up north and so medical procedures usually find themselves with appropriated time off after the fact always get schedule this time of the year. _"Did I tell you my Sons a cop."_ Let's not forget the Dick Tracey detective crime story that Jim told us about his Son on the 23rd. Speaking of Jim and his bullshit that he has pulled, I'm really hoping that I'm not dragged into working tomorrow. I'm pretty much well-aware that my schedule is going to be royally fucked because of his almost all of next week but I'd really just like to have tomorrow off.
I got to see my Love just before the momentum of the holiday really started to pick up the pace. She stopped over and dropped off a "new years gift" which ended up being the Unfuckyourself 2020 desk calendar. I think it will serve good purpose on top of the stairs. Perhaps I'll save the pages and make something out of them at the end of the year. Taking inspiration from the cover of the book itself.
My Dell computer monitor suddenly laid itself to a shadowy rest Christmas morning, as I woke up the shade on the monitor was super dark and nothing seemed to work so I'm currently rocking Grandma's old Toshiba television as my second monitor and the text appearance definitely leaves something to be desired but it's better than having one monitor. Hopefully as time goes on this will be something I can get used to.
With the weather as nice as it was it was a little difficult to try and pull off the Duluth outfit I had sort of planned for the day. I rocked it as long as I could, but eventually I was back in my Punisher shirt and Aeroplane pants trying to cool off. We even had the windows open upstairs for part of the night yesterday and they are still open in the attic now. But clothing assignments aside, Nicole did a majority of the work but it is safe to say that the "adults" of our parlay had the easiest holiday they have ever had, basically just needing to show up to eat, and that is exactly what my Uncle did - the way he snuck in and out without really having much to say between those two moments.
I really still do struggle with the holidays and like the way I put Kendras picture back were it was resting before it fell into my path down the stairs from the attic, I've survived and everything is "back to normal". This next decade will be just that, and I'm here saying that I'm ready for it happen.
